Skilled Labourer/ Operator/ Foreman

Full-Time - Vancouver, BC

Job Description

Slate Construction is a diverse, multidisciplinary contractor specialized in logistically challenging and complex public works projects.

We are looking for full-time Skilled Labourers, Operators and Foremans to join our team. Employees receive $50/working day living out allowance, and paid accommodation for work performed outside of the lower mainland, or home base on top of wages.

Qualifications

Labourer Qualifications

Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50lbs. for short durations
Flexible to take on different tasks
Excellent communication skills
Read and interpret site plans and blueprints
Ability to operate machinery an asset
Valid driver's license
Communicate project progress to project manager as required
Experienced with supervision of workers and on-site safety protocols
Valid driver's license
Positive attitude, energetic and enthusiastic
Willingness to travel for work
Willingness to work outside exposed to weather elements
Ability to operate machinery an asset

Foreman/Operator Qualifications

Knowledgeable and experienced in the construction industry (minimum 5 years)
Ability to read and interpret site plans and blueprints
Communicate project progress to project manager as required
Experienced with supervision of workers and on-site safety protocols
Ability to operate machinery
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel for work
Willingness to work outside exposed to weather elements

Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent (preferred)

Schedule

10 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends
